Event: Café as Gaeilge hosted by Pauline and Mackie Rooney (in asociation with Monaghan County Council's Coiste Gaeilge), with traditional music interludes.

Event: The Big Sketch, co-ordinated by local artist, Eileen Ferguson (in association with County Monaghan Heritage Office). 30 local professional and amateur artists will each paint a section of the iconic painting 'Monaghan Market' by Henry MacManus ( c.1830). This event will take place all day on Saturday 15th March at St Macartan's Hall, Park Street. The sections will be assembled at the end of the day and unveiling of the finished piece takes place at 6pm.
