02/03/2013 - Tails 'n' Trails Dry Land Mushing Championships

Dryland mushing is a sport where one or more dogs pull an unmotorized kick scooter/bike or rig. It is similar to mushing, which is done in the winter, but generally with fewer dogs and with a scooter instead of a dogsled. The dogs wear the same harnesses that sled dogs wear, and are hooked to the scooter with a gangline. Any dog showing a willingness to pull can become a sled dog including Labs, collies, setters, hounds and German Shepards.
